PCU Registered Nurse Job in Overland Park, KS

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a float pool position across Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical Intermediate units at BJC West - Saint Lukes South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. You will float between approximately 5 units across all Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments, including other Metro campuses as needed. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026.

Schedule & Hours

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum of 8 weekend shifts required every six weeks (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday combinations)
• Holiday and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• No on-call required
• Block scheduling not available
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks; cancelled shifts match your regular assigned shift length
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off
• Weekly pay: $2,212.53

Patient Population & Skills

You will care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including sepsis, wound care, alcohol withdrawal, renal failure, atrial fibrillation, gastrointestinal bleeding, and stroke. Required skills include cardiac telemetry, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, MS/Tele, neuro stepdown, and pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care.

Requirements & Certifications

• 1 to 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Current BLS, NIHSS certifications
• Missouri or Compact license required at time of submission due to floating requirements across campuses
• ACLS preferred

Clinical Environment

You will use Epic for charting and work with equipment including 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell. Interdisciplinary support available includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
