CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Winston Salem, NC

Join Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). You'll work 4x10 day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with call requirements of 10 days per month including one weekend per month from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM, rotating every third weekend.

Role Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub in a 3-room CVOR unit serving adult and geriatric patients from their 20s to 90s
• Perform and support various cardiovascular procedures including aortic and mitral valve replacements, ASD repair, redo surgeries, CABG with or without valve repair, TAVR, and robotic thoracic surgery
• Operate within PYXIS and EPIC systems
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• NC or Compact nursing license
• BCLS certification
• Demonstrated circulating and scrub experience
• CNOR certification preferred
• Comfort with both circulating and scrubbing procedures

What to Expect:

• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Complete 8–10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 18, 2026. You'll earn $2,462.40 per week while building experience in a busy cardiovascular program.
