Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required with an average of 3 calls per schedule, variable based on department need
• Reassignment to other units when necessary
• Evaluate patient outcomes and make changes to plan of care within the multidisciplinary team
• Provide explanation and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students and serve as a role model for clinical practice
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care
• Provide respiratory care as ordered by physician while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff
• Associate's degree required
• Required certifications and licenses: RRT, Illinois License, BLS, NRP
