Registered Nurse - SICU @ University of Virginia Medical Center

Opportunity:

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced 15-bed Surgical/Trauma ICU
• 13-week assignment with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios (may change based on patient acuity)
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with surgical and trauma critical care needs
• Manage post-operative patients from emergency or highly complex surgical procedures
• Provide care for patients with multisystem traumatic injuries
• Must have 1 year of experience and Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC preferred
• Must adhere to facility float policy as needed
• Can submit with VA license pending but must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date
• BSN preferred and Nursys verification required for submittal
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• References required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Up to 40 hours of RTO guaranteed per 13-week contract
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
