About this role
You are a CT Technologist with current AART, TMB, CT, and BLS certifications, seeking a 13-week contract position working nights in a fast-paced hospital environment. South Austin Hospital TX is looking for an experienced technologist to join the CT department on the night shift.
Role Overview
You will perform CT imaging studies on patients, including those with stroke and trauma presentations. Your day-to-day responsibilities include operating CT scanning equipment, positioning patients, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining strict quality standards. You must be comfortable floating to Free Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs) as operational needs require. The role demands strong scanning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Shift and Schedule
- 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- Rotating weekend schedule
- No on-call requirements
- 91 days total contract duration, starting July 6, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Current AART certification
- Current TMB certification
- Current CT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Documented stroke and trauma imaging experience
- Proven ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced settings
Work Environment
Night shift staffing includes 3 CT/RAD technologists and 1 US/MR technologist. You will work primarily with GE equipment. Flexibility and teamwork are essential; you must be responsive to facility needs and maintain a collaborative attitude with your team and clinical staff.
Compensation and Logistics
Weekly pay is $2,365.20. Dress code is an olive scrub top with black pants.
