Physical Therapist Job in Lamar, CO

Prowers Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time position in Lamar, Colorado. You will work Monday through Friday with occasional weekend coverage, evaluating and treating patients across the lifespan in inpatient and swing bed settings.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations, consultations, and treatment for pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
• Conduct assessments and reassessments according to therapy requests and facility policy
• Progress patients toward prior level of function or maximum medical improvement per Plan of Care
• Maintain comprehensive patient records including progress reports, daily notes, and special reports
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants
• Provide hands-on assessment, assistance, and exercise to patients in multiple settings
• Communicate effectively with employees, physicians, visitors, patients, families, and administration

Physical Requirements:

• Manual dexterity to operate equipment
• Ability to lift and move patients with or without assistance
• Capability to maneuver equipment weighing 20 pounds or greater
• Visual and hearing acuity to receive patient feedback and information

Required Qualifications:

• Earned degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Colorado Physical Therapy licensure
• Strong communication skills

Assignment Details:

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 1, 2026. You will work 5 eight-hour shifts weekly at a weekly rate of $3,212.
