ED Registered Nurse Job in Bloomington, IN

IU Health Bloomington Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 53-room Emergency Department. You will care for patients across all age groups—neonates through geriatrics—in a high-volume setting with a daily census of 150.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a 4:1 patient ratio across days, nights, and weekends
• Manage ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation
• Perform triage, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and maintain IVs
• Deliver combined adult and pediatric emergency care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response, pharmacy, and unit secretaries

Schedule and Requirements

• 3x12-hour night shifts (36 guaranteed hours per week)
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating required; may include nearby sister facilities on rare occasions

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Emergency Room experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Local Indiana residents are not eligible for this position

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,177.28
