Telemetry RN Job in Johnson City, Tennessee

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a hybrid PCU/Med Surg Telemetry unit at Johnson City Medical Center. This position offers you the opportunity to develop expertise across multiple acute care settings while supporting adult patients in a 19-bed unit with a daily census of 17 patients.

Role Details

• Work in a hybrid PCU/Med Surg Telemetry environment with patient ratios of 1:5 for PCU and 1:7 for Med Surg/Telemetry
• Floating to Med Surg as needed
• No call responsibilities
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• 24 hours of non-billable orientation, including 16 hours of general orientation plus online modules
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year of documented PCU experience within the past 2 years
• First-time travelers accepted if you have Level 1 trauma experience
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Must live 100 miles from the facility
• Proficiency in both PCU and Med Surg/Telemetry care
• Epic charting system experience preferred

What You Bring

You are experienced in acute care nursing and comfortable managing varying patient acuity levels. Experience with pre- and post-thoracic surgery care and oral suctioning is preferred. You are willing to participate in nursing student support and clinical education activities as part of your role.

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: May 17, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,110.40

You will work with an adult patient population in an established medical center setting. This assignment allows you to build your skills in telemetry and progressive care while maintaining a stable schedule with no on-call duties.
