PCU RN Job in Albany, NY

You will care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the Progressive Care Unit at Albany Medical Center. This is a 91-day travel assignment working 3x12 night shifts at $2,496.60 per week.

Your Role:

• Manage an average patient load of 3 high-acuity patients
• Deliver competent care to both medical and surgical populations
• Administer advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols
• Manage antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcotic drips, and thromboembolitics
• Monitor arterial lines, central venous pressure, external ventricular drains, and orthopedic traction
• Support patients on HFNC, BiPap, CPAP, and oxygen therapy
• Handle respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• ACLS certification
• Epic electronic medical record experience
• Advanced hemodynamics competency
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and advanced monitoring equipment
• Large-scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience preferred
