Echo Technologist Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is seeking an Echo Technologist to join our cardiology department in Santa Fe, NM. This is a full-time travel position running 91 days, starting May 18, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM)
• Weekly pay: $2,112
• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients
• Execute technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams
• Assist cardiologists during exam dictations and provide pertinent diagnostic information
• Respond to patient needs during examinations and report condition changes to physicians or nurses
• Coordinate exam scheduling and patient transport with hospital departments
• Maintain equipment quality control and coordinate repair services
• Participate in on-call coverage for emergency echo exams outside regular hours
• Order supplies and maintain clean, well-stocked examination rooms
• Log patients and exams, file records, and ensure accurate billing information entry
• Participate in departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement activities
• Stay current on advances in echocardiography and seek mentorship from cardiologists
• Assist with other cardiac procedures as needed

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential
• A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible
• State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of active echocardiogram experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to work at a rapid pace under stressful conditions with manual dexterity for procedures
