Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in McAllen, TX

Rio Grande Regional Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in McAllen, Texas. This day shift position runs 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, five days per week, with a weekly pay rate of $2,628.

In this role, you will perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures using GE nuclear medicine equipment, including cardiac imaging systems. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Lexi Scans, HIDA Scans, and Gastric Emptying studies
• Pulmonary Ventilation and Bone Scans
• Liver Scans, Thyroid Scans, and Renal Scans
• GI Bleed procedures
• Preferred experience with Y-90 procedures and lymphoscintigraphy

You will document findings using the MediTech EMR system and the McKesson PACS system. As needed, you may float to the X-Ray department to support ongoing operations. This position includes rotating on-call responsibilities and assistance with weekend shifts.

Required Qualifications:

• CNMT certification
• Texas Medical Board certification
• Hands-on experience with GE nuclear medicine equipment for cardiac imaging
• Knowledge of Radiation Safety and Texas Regulations

You will be based in the 1st Floor Radiology department in the Main Building. This assignment begins April 13, 2026, and runs for 91 days. You should be self-motivated, efficient, and work collaboratively with your clinical team.
