About this role
URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN for its Cardiac Cath Lab in Rochester, New York. This 89-day travel assignment begins July 6, 2026, and offers $2,960.10 weekly pay.
Schedule and Shift Details
- 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Preference for 36 hours per week (4x10-hour or 3x12-hour shift options available)
- Weekends, holidays, and on-call/callback shifts required per unit needs
- Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned per unit needs
Role Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-procedural care in holding areas
- Care for both adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient cardiac patients
- Work across 4 Cath labs and 3 EP labs
- Focus on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and cardiac intervention
- Collaborate with CVT staff in an RN-rich practice model
Required Experience and Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Critical care or cardiac experience required
- Moderate sedation training required
- Dysrhythmia and telemetry experience required
- Experience with TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures
- Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever experience required
- Mechanical Circulatory Support experience required: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD
- Structural Heart experience required: TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty, and ASA
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- New York RN license required
- Cardiovascular certification or RCES preferred
- Device and ablation procedures and equipment familiarity preferred
- EP Lab experience preferred
