NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week required
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• No call requirement
• Patient ratios of 1:2-4
• Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period
• Float requirement to Peds/PICU/Nursery caring for infants up to and including 12 months
• 24 hours of unit orientation provided
• Scrubs: Navy blue or white
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or Level 4 ICN required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Ventilator experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for neonatal patients including premature infants as young as 22 weeks, surgical infants, and hypoxic injury cases
• Perform special procedures including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide administration, UAC/UVC, Broviacs, trachs, GTT, and ostomy care
• Operate specialized equipment including Tecotherm, BCPAP, Ram NC, Alaris IV pumps, Med Fusion for feedings, Servo Vents, HFOV, Baby Leo, and Giraffe
• Work with unit systems including Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, and 4P
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
