Radiation Therapist Job in Springfield, MO

You will work as a Radiation Therapist at Mercy Hospital Springfield, treating approximately 65–70 patients per day in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is a 13-week travel assignment with a start date of June 29, 2026.

Schedule and Hours

• 5x8 day shifts, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (schedule varies by patient load)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No weekend hours or on-call requirements

Your Role

You will plan, prepare, and deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments as part of the radiation therapy treatment team. Your responsibilities include setting up and imaging patients, operating sophisticated treatment equipment, and documenting care in Mosiaq and EPIC electronic medical record systems.

Equipment and Technology

You will work with advanced equipment including Elekta Versas, Varian HDR, Cyberknife, and the new Radixact system. Experience with Elekta workflows is preferred; on-the-job training is available for Elekta systems.

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience in a hospital setting
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• RRA (Registered Radiotherapist) credential
• Linac treatment experience and patient setup/imaging experience required
• Strong communication skills

Additional Requirements

• Black scrubs required as per dress code
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required between November 1 and April 1

Compensation
