Med Surg RN Job in Charleston, SC

You will work three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) on a 23-bed General Neurology, Medical Stroke, and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at MUSC Health Charleston. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,762.56.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Care for patients diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, seizures, and strokes
• Monitor patients in private rooms equipped with continuous epilepsy monitoring capabilities
• Support the Comprehensive Spine Center and Comprehensive Epilepsy Center programs
• Care for overflow neurosurgical patients and those recovering from spine surgeries
• Float between like units and sister facilities as needed
• Work 4–5 weekend shifts per 4-week period with holiday rotation
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Requirements

• Current RN license in South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIH certifications preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted
