OT - Therapy Rehab Acute Care

Job Details:

• Schedule is Monday through Friday plus one weekend day per month throughout the contract
• Daily patient load of 7 patients
• Productivity standard of 81% billable units required
• Work with an inpatient acute care rehab team of 19 rehab professionals
• See patients across all levels of acuity from ICU to progressive care units
• Patient diagnoses include CABG and other cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, Parkinson's disease, and amputation
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Evaluate patients, develop and follow plan of care including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities to improve function
• Assess appropriateness of discharge disposition recommendations on a daily basis
• Supervise and guide COTAs with plan of care
• Manage daily caseload, attend multidisciplinary rounds, and complete documentation daily
• Experience managing high acuity ICU/PCU patients preferred
• Floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby is required
• Minimum of 1 year occupational therapy experience in an acute hospital setting required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Scrub color: Royal Blue with black shoes
• Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT
• Indiana state license required
