Special Procedures Technologist in West Columbia, SC

Lexington Medical Center is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for Interventional Radiology. You will work 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities including some weekends. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026.

About the Role

You will support interventional radiology procedures across 3 IR suites, handling approximately 25 visits daily. You will work with both adult and geriatric patients, assisting with a wide variety of cases ranging from line placements to complex vascular interventions to hybrid OR cases.

Required Experience and Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• RT(R), BLS, and ARRT certifications required
• VI credential preferred but not required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Technical Competencies

You must be competent with Philips and Siemens equipment platforms, including Philips IR systems and Sonosite Ultrasound. You will perform ultrasound-guided arterial and venous access and assist with procedures including stroke thrombectomy, embolization, kyphoplasty, fistulagram, arteriogram with intervention, venogram with intervention, dialysis access procedures, venous access placement, Y90, chest port placement, nephrostomy tube placement, PTC, g tube placement, and TIPS.

Facility Support

Lexington Medical Center provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. You may float to the hybrid OR as needed to support procedural demands.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $3,168.
