Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab Inpatient

Job Details:

• Full-time position working 40 hours per week on day shifts
• Alternating 8-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Block scheduling type
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Treat patients across acute care settings including orthopedics, transplant, med surg, neurology, and ICU
• Patient ratio of 20 patients per day
• Required skills include: Cardiopulmonary, Geriatrics, Neurology, Oncology, and Orthopedics
• Additional skills required: Adaptive Devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Arousal and Attention, Assessment, Assistive Devices, Bed Alarms, Body Mechanics, Crutches, Discharge Planning, Evaluation, Gait Belt, Hoyer Lift, Identifying Environmental Barriers, Goal Setting, Lower Extremity Prosthetics, Pain Assessment, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Rolling Walker, Sensory Response, Sit to Stand Lift, Skin Integrity, Sliding Boards, Soft/Hard Collars, Specialty Beds, Standard Walker, Strength Testing, Supplemental Oxygen Delivery, Time Management, and Vital Sign Monitoring
• Preferred working setting: Acute Care
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Required certification: BLS
• DC state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed a minimum of 1 prior travel assignment
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
• No requested time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
