RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with holiday rotation
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• Patient ratios: 1:3 on med-surg side, 1:4 on behavioral health side
• Minimum 1 year of experience required with Med-Surg experience and Epic charting system experience
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Scrub color requirement: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms
• Epic charting system used
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 18-bed unit (6 beds acute care side, 12 beds behavioral health side)
• Work with patients having co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions
• Skills required include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, chest tubes, feeding tube care, IV management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and substance withdrawal management
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Parking fee: $20 registration fee for hang tag to use parking garage
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start
