PCU RN Job in Portland, ME

We are seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment at MMC-P Bramhall Campus in Portland, Maine. You will work 4x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) in our Progressive Care Unit, earning $2,880 weekly with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

About the Role

You will care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, including respiratory issues, medical telemetry monitoring, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute on chronic medical conditions. Your primary patient ratio will be 1:3 in the PCU. When floating to the med-surg side, ratios increase to 1:4–5 on days and 1:5–6 on nights. You may float to similar units at the PCU level or lower as needed.

Required Experience and Credentials

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Prior travel assignment at med-surg level or higher
• PCU or IMC travel experience required
• BLS certification

What You'll Work With

You will use telemetry monitoring, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and insulin drips for DKA protocol management. The facility uses Epic for electronic medical records.

Schedule and Expectations

You will work nights with weekend hours as needed. No call requirements. Scrubs of any color are acceptable; professional appearance is required, and shirts with non-hospital logos are not permitted.
