PT - Physical Therapist Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts, choose Monday-Friday OR Tuesday-Saturday schedule
• 40 hours per week guaranteed with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout a 13-week assignment
• Two weekend shifts required per month
• See 8 cases per day treating adults, adolescents, and geriatrics
• Focus on total joints with same day discharge, last evaluation starting at 5:00 PM
• Treat diagnoses including falls, CVA, trauma, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, TKA, THA, ORIF, orthopedic conditions, PE, sepsis, UTI, respiratory failure, liver failure, kidney failure, and wounds
• No on-call requirements or floating within scope
• Required certifications: BLS and New Mexico license (can pend at time of submission)
• 1 year of experience required, first-timers accepted with acute inpatient experience
• Skills required: acute care, body mechanics, cervicalgia, low back pain, post-operative surgeries, spinal conditions, total joint replacements, cognitive disorders, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, home exercise programs, and patient/family education
• Black scrub pants and red shirt required
• 24-hour orientation with 6 hours of non-billable modules
• New contracts must be at least 10 weeks
• No locals within 100-mile radius accepted
• RTO restrictions: greater than 7 days needs approval, no RTO during first 7 days or last day of contract
