Job Details:

• Work 5 x 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Screen up to 80 gynecological specimens per day
• Integrate knowledge, theory, and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned laboratory areas
• Deliver accurate results in a timely manner
• Maintain competence in all Cytology practices including pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic procedures
• Perform procedures on biological specimens to aid healthcare providers in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of disease
• Required skills include: Ascitic Fluid, Bronchial, Conventional, Cytolyt, Esophageal, Gastric, HP DNA test, Inpatient Lab, Outpatient Lab, PAP, Preliminary Diagnosis, Quality Control/Quality Assurance, Specimen Labeling/Identification, Spinal, SurPath, Thin-Prep, ThinPrep, and Urine
• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university required
• ASCP Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Cytologist (CT) required
• CDPH Licensure by the California Department of Public Health as a Cytotechnologist (CLM/CTT) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience required
• Charting system experience required
