Registered Nurse - Telemetry @ Piedmont Henry Hospital

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on days and nights, 1:6 on weekends with 32-bed unit
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must have prior travel experience and 1 year minimum experience (1st timers not accepted)
• HARD STOP requirement for experience with cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Work with overflow IMCU patients including arrhythmia management, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal, pulmonary conditions, PE, DVT, and post-cardiac cath care
• Handle surgical patients (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, biliary drains) and occasional vascular patients
• Must have basic arrhythmia knowledge and experience with TR Bands
• Epic charting system (preferred), Pyxis, SBAR
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Weekend coverage typically every other weekend with approximately 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• Call is rare with 2-hour response time (typically for core staff only)
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Telemetry competency exam required
• Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
