CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday with varying shifts of either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
• No weekends, no call, and no holidays required
• Review patient history and physician's orders
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures
• Ensure proper imaging techniques related to patients' age and ability to understand procedures
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice
• Analyze results and identify issues with imaging quality, taking appropriate action to resolve problems
• Enter, transmit and report scan results
• Order, prepare, administer, store and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
• Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms
• Must be CT certified with PET/CT experience
• Required certifications: ARRT CT, NNMTCB CT, CNMT by NMTCB or RT with NM certification by ARRT
• NYS License and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Tech and CT experience required
• Preferred knowledge in GE PET or Philips PET Scanners
