Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with varied start times: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 2p-2a, 7p-7a
• Manager creates scheduling based on needs and staff availability with attempt to accommodate block scheduling
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• First to float when needed, though floating is rare due to census and staffing
• 1-2 shifts of emergency department specific orientation required
• Any color scrubs permitted for dress code
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Profile review and manager interview required
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:3-4 based on acuity, possibly 5 if boarding patients grouped together
• Handle patients from pediatrics to geriatrics including traumas, CAH transfers, stroke, STEMI, SOB, abdominal pain
• Draw labs from IV starts with phlebotomy available as resource
• Read and interpret telemetry strips with physician verification
• Transport unstable patients to CT when needed
• Utilize Epic charting system
• 50-mile radius rule applies with CommonSpirit facility restrictions
• 4 shifts cancellation policy per contract (3 shifts if under 13 weeks)
• RTO needed upfront with 7 or less days per 13-week contract
