RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts (days or nights) with optional 5x8 schedule available
• Serve as charge nurse every shift with $3 charge differential
• Some weekend shifts required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must have NY license in hand to submit
• Minimum 1 year of experience required with leadership experience in Med Surg within the past year
• Experience with scheduling and coaching staff required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS (must include valid certification in submission)
• Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical diseases including hospice, pain control, diabetic, heart, stroke, and telemetry conditions
• Unit serves as designated COVID and flu unit caring for patients with increased oxygen requirements
• Handle trach patients on modified assignment for specialized care
• Must be more than 75 miles from facility location
• Floating required
• Travel experience required
