ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Rotating shifts or straight nights possible
• Weekend coverage required
• 12-hour orientation upon start
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 22-bed ICU unit
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Key clinical skills required include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, management of dysrhythmias, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, CVP monitoring, IV insulin protocols, pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz monitoring, interpretation of ABGs, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
