ED RN Job in Round Rock, Texas

Join Round Rock Medical Center as an RN in the Emergency Department for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM on a rotating weekend schedule with no call requirements.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage patient care with ratios of 1:4 in the main ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, and 1:3 in cardiac/trauma areas
• Perform splinting, 12-lead EKGs, central line placement, and airway support
• Operate Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
• Provide behavioral health de-escalation, morgan lens procedures, and resuscitation support
• Assist with trauma cases and rapid infuser operations
• Use MEDITECH EMR system

Facility Environment

The ED features 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track areas, and 5 behavioral health rooms. You'll collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs in a fast-paced setting.

Required Credentials and Certifications

• RN license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience
• Inpatient holding experience
• CPI certification

Additional Details

Navy blue scrubs are required. You'll need to be a multitasker, team player, and self-starter who thrives in a dynamic emergency setting. Weekly pay is $1,708.20. The assignment begins June 29, 2026.
