Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Renton, WA

Vertical Health Services - Valley View Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Renton, WA is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a 91-day assignment. You will work day shifts, five days per week (5x8), with no weekends or on-call responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implement components of patient care and obtain data related to treatments provided
• Assist the Physical Therapist in treating individuals of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life patients
• Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups to support therapy goals
• Assist with patient transfers from wheelchairs or walkers to therapy areas
• Teach patients techniques such as balance training and mobility strategies
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify care as necessary based on patient progress
• Speak with families to identify the best at-home care techniques and support continuity of care
• Maintain a clean and organized physical therapy environment
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork

Requirements:

• Valid PTA license
• Washington state license
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year
• Resume required for submission
