Surgical Technologist Job in Dickinson, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work in a modern 6-operating room suite plus one GI suite, performing scrub tech duties across a range of surgical specialties.

Schedule and Expectations

• Primary schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9-hour day shifts (6:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, subject to change with notice)
• Minimum 7 shifts per 6-week period required
• 1–2 call shifts per week (end of shift until 7:00 AM the following day)
• 1 weekend call per month (Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Holiday on-call responsibilities required
• Team and self-scheduling options available

Clinical Role

You will perform scrub tech duties for adult, pediatric, geriatric, and obstetric cases. Common procedures include total joints, ORIF, arthroscopy, cesarean sections, LAVH, D&C, diagnostic laparoscopy, laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and exploratory laparotomy. Experience with total joints and C-sections is required; MAKO robot experience is a plus.

Equipment and Systems

You will work with C-arm, MAKO robot, LigaSure, and harmonic scalpel equipment. The facility uses MEDITECH for charting. Scrubs are provided.

Requirements and Support

• Current BLS certification required
• UAP credential (CST or NCCT preferred)
• Facial hair fit testing required—you must pass a Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 or 3M 1870+)
• 1–2 shifts of department-specific orientation provided
• BSN not required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $1,854 for this 91-day assignment beginning November 9, 2026.
