Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Care Practitioner

Job Details:

• 26-week contracts with guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Provide respiratory therapy services for all appropriate age levels in all areas served by the department
• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
• Record treatment information and patient treatment responses in computerized medical records
• Act as a resource person to medical staff
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients
• Ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained properly
• Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records
• Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Previous work in a children's-only hospital preferred
• Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Required licensing: Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Required certifications: National Board of Respiratory Care registration, Basic Life Support (AHA) upon hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA) within 3 months of hire
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential must be received within 12 months of hire
• Must be a graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Program
