Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in San Marcos, TX

You will work as an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital San Marcos. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• On-call 3 weekends out of 6
• STEMI call requirement: 16–20 days of call out of 6 weeks
• Weekly pay: $2,628

Requirements

• RN License valid in Texas or compact states
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• One year of experience in a critical care setting preferred, but new graduates will be considered
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

What You'll Do

You will provide nursing care in the cardiac catheterization setting, using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care. You will administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, and document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. You will address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, and provide education to patients and caregivers based on their learning needs.

Onboarding and Support

You must attend the New Nurses Orientation within your first 30 days. You will be precepted by a designated trained staff member during initial on-boarding. You will complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation, as well as all annual competency verification requirements.
