ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:2-3 (traveler should be prepared for the possibility of taking a 3rd patient)
• 24 rooms with average daily census of 19
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• General diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Holiday requirements: work major holidays that fall during assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO (Requested Time Off)
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Experience required with ventilated patients, central line care/management, CVA/acute stroke management, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Unit systems include Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
• Special equipment includes cardiac monitoring, BIS, train of four, artic sun, FloTrac, IABP
• Full compliance required to start on time
