ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Maintain 2:1 or 3:1 patient ratios in a 10-bed ICU unit
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• 2 years of hospital setting experience required
• Must have Kentucky license or compact state license at submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, current NIH (annual certification required)
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed
• Work with Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Document using Meditech Expanse system
• Perform telemetry monitoring, assist with paracentesis, BiPap management, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusion, and ventilators
• Required skills include CPap and BiPap management, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Dress code requires navy or gray scrubs
• Unit supported by director, manager, and clinical educator with excellent interdisciplinary collaboration
