<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work Monday through Friday with shifts split between start of 7:00 AM and end of 7:00 PM<br>• No on-call responsibilities required<br>• Outpatient only setting<br>• Couple of years&#39; experience working on treatment machines treating patients required<br>• Administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation using advanced level linear accelerators, Tomotherapy treatment units, or proton therapy units<br>• Record and verify treatment software according to radiation oncologist prescriptions and instructions<br>• Simulate patients in accordance with prescription requirements<br>• Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription<br>• Follow principles of radiation protection for patient, self and others<br>• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff<br>• Educate, prepare and reassure patients and their families by answering questions and providing physical assistance<br>• Reinforce physicians&#39; advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care<br>• Contribute to the training of radiation therapy students<br>• Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations<br>• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and participating in educational offerings<br>• Adhere to standard work procedures and service excellence standards</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This comprehensive cancer center operates as an outpatient-only facility specializing in advanced radiation therapy treatments.
