About this role
Samaritan Healthcare is hiring an Occupational Therapist to deliver outpatient rehabilitation services in Moses Lake, Washington. You will work day shift on a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, earning $2,482 weekly.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assess, treat, and care for outpatient populations across all age groups—school-age, young, middle-aged, and geriatric patients
- Lead a robust elbow, wrist, and hand therapy program with strong local provider referral support and significant growth opportunity
- Evaluate patients per physician orders and develop individualized care plans
- Administer therapeutic treatments using physical agents, biomechanical and neurophysiological principles, and assistive devices
- Re-evaluate patient status regularly and adjust treatment programs as needed
- Document all care information in the electronic medical record system
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and procedures
- Complete daily billing procedures for services provided
- Provide direction to occupational therapy support staff
- Monitor safety and effectiveness of patient care equipment and the work environment
Qualifications and requirements:
- Active or eligible-to-obtain Washington State Occupational Therapist license
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (Bachelor's preferred; advanced degree preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification required within 3 months of hire
- One year of outpatient care experience preferred
- Hand therapy and splinting experience preferred
- Ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to assess patients and use documentation tools
This role offers mentorship with an experienced provider who has over 25 years of expertise in hand therapy program development. You will treat patients across the full age spectrum and contribute to a program with strong community referral support.
