Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Weekend availability required
• Holiday availability required
• 28-bed Med/Surg unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5
• CNA support available at a ratio of 1 CNA to 10-14 patients
• No charge nurse assignment taken; charge nurse is dedicated to unit oversight
• Care for general medical patients including sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and similar diagnoses
• Required to titrate insulin and heparin drips
• Telemetry monitoring managed remotely from a centralized location in AZ via Ascom app on iPhone; ability to read strips preferred
• RT equipment includes CPAP and established BiPAP only
• Floating required within Region I facilities when needed, with an additional $20 per hour when floated to a non-primary facility
• First to float within the unit when census is low
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Any professional colors
• Minimum 2 years of related RN experience preferred
• BSN preferred but not required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Washington state nursing license required
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
