RN - PCU

Job Details:

• 48-hour guarantees accepted
• May serve in a charge nurse role or precepting role nearly every shift
• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs for patients with complex problems
• Develop and update plans of care in collaboration with patients and families
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs, and/or those at high risk for discharge planning
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate patient care and promote continuity of care
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
• Charge and precepting experience required
