PT - Physical Therapist

Job Details:

• Evaluate patients' motor and neurological capabilities and physical/functional status
• Develop and implement therapeutic programs for movement dysfunction prevention and correction
• Analyze evaluation results and establish appropriate short- and long-term treatment goals
• Administer and monitor treatments including modalities, therapeutic exercise, transfers, and gait training
• Determine appropriate assistive devices and instruct patients/families in their use
• Coordinate treatment with physical therapy staff and other healthcare disciplines
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Plan and document home programs for continued patient care
• Participate in discharge planning with physicians, nursing, and social services personnel
• Train therapy assistants, support staff, and orient students as requested
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current State license as Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure
• 1-2 years of progressively responsible physical therapy experience required
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds daily
• Ability to stand for three or more hours at a time
• Manual dexterity and ability to push/pull supply carts, gurneys, and wheelchairs hourly
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient communication and staff training
