Registered Nurse - NICU @ Childrens Nebraska

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Required to work one extra shift every 3 weeks during periods of high census
• Patient ratios of 2-3 patients on days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• First float position - may float to PICU, CCU, or med surg floors for patients with similar skill sets
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
• Must have 2 years of experience and travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for 23-week gestational age infants up to 1-year-old patients
• Work with high acuity NICU patients requiring specialists and surgery
• Manage common diagnoses including BPD, tracheostomy/G-button evaluations, bowel perforations, NEC, gastroschisis, hydrocephalus, and pre-operative cardiac anomalies
• Experience required with ventilator management, central line care, administration of blood products, developmental care, and various specialized NICU procedures
