Respiratory Therapist Job in Lafayette, IN

Join Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. You will provide respiratory therapy services across multiple care settings, including ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call requirements
• $1,971 weekly pay
• 91-day assignment starting June 15, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators, BiPAPs, and Heated High Flow units
• Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
• Provide respiratory care in high-acuity settings
• Work independently and self-motivate in complex situations
• Manage heavy patient loads with strong time management
• Chart proficiently in EPIC electronic medical record system

Required Credentials & Experience

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Level 3 NICU skills
• Acute care experience including Med Surg, ER, and ICU

Equipment & Technology

• Ventilators: Puritan Bennett, Drager V500, Hamilton C-transport, Oscillator, Jet
• Respiratory support: V60 BiPap, HHFNC, Bubble CPAP, NITRIC
• Aerogen systems

Staffing & Environment

• Day shift: 5–6 minimum respiratory therapists
• Night shift: 4–4.5 minimum respiratory therapists
• Patient ratios managed by RVU system
• Dress code: pewter gray scrubs
