About this role
You are needed for a 91-day travel assignment as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Kearney Regional Medical Center, a Trauma Level 3 acute care facility. This 23-bed unit serves patients across a range of conditions and acuity levels.
Schedule and Staffing
- 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Every other weekend requirement
- Up to 2 additional mandatory shifts per 6-week period
- Maximum patient ratio of 1:6; day shift Monday–Friday is 1:5
Unit Details
You will work in an acute care setting where you may be floated to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) unless you are telemetry-trained and assigned directly to Med Surg. The unit uses EPIC for charting. As a member of the nursing team, you will provide direct patient care, medication administration, and clinical assessment within scope of your license.
Requirements and Certifications
- Current RN licensure
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- NIHSS certification
Time Off and Contract Terms
You may request no more than one holiday off during your contract. Holiday blackout periods apply May through September and November through January, meaning limited flexibility during high-utilization months.
Compensation and Location
Your weekly pay is $2,410.56 for the 3x12 night schedule. The assignment begins June 17, 2026, and runs for 91 days. You will be based in Kearney, Nebraska, a community in the heart of the state.
