MRI Technologist Job in New Lenox, IL

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist for a temporary position in New Lenox, IL. This is a night shift role working 4x10 hours, with an assignment duration of 91 days starting July 6, 2026. You will earn $2,736 per week.

About the Role

You will perform a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients across all age groups. Your responsibilities include:

• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as needed
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide appropriate education and instruction
• Perform all magnetic resonance imaging studies and administer contrast media using age-related technical and positioning protocols
• Assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment and associated supplies, including warm-up, calibration, and safety checks
• Operate hospital computer systems and report equipment malfunctions to your supervisor
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and manufacturer guidelines at all times
• Maintain ARRT standards and demonstrate courteous, respectful communication

Schedule and Requirements

You will work every weekend as part of your scheduled shift rotation. On-call requirements will be determined by the facility. This position requires 1 year of recent GE MRI experience and current certifications in BLS and ARRT (AMRIT certification will not be considered). You must hold an Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent credential.
