PACU RN Job in Espanola, NM

You'll provide direct patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital. Working a 4x10 rotating schedule, you'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for your assigned patients during recovery from anesthesia and surgery.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process, documenting patient needs, actions, and responses
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders or established protocols
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care
• Provide clinical supervision to LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Complete patient population-specific and procedure-specific education and competency testing
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as needed
• Maintain on-call availability and cover weekend shifts as required

Required qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Current RN license from New Mexico or a Compact State
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Two years of current experience in PACU
• At least one completed 13-week travel assignment
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing
• Ability to pass BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmias) testing during your first week

EPIC experience is preferred; on-site training is available if needed. You'll work a 1.0 FTE schedule in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and strong teamwork are essential.

Assignment details: 89 days starting May 11, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,152.66.
