Job Details:

• Day shift with hours that may vary
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
• Required certifications: ASCP and ASCP-CT
• Perform analytical procedures requiring a professional level of knowledge to execute, interpret, and/or analyze results, particularly those that are abnormal or atypical
• Required skills include: inpatient lab, outpatient lab, Autocyte, conventional processing, HP DNA testing, SurPath, ThinPrep, Ascitic Fluid, Esophageal, Gastric, Spinal, Thin-Prep, staining, quality control/quality assurance, and specimen labeling/identification
• Previous charge experience required
• Unit system: Epic
• Scrub color: Teal
• Scheduling type: Block scheduling
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• Floating is rare and within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage expectations: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
