PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a contractor replacement role offering three 12-hour day shifts per week, starting April 16, 2026, for a 91-day assignment.

Position Overview

You will provide intermediate-level care to patients requiring step-down services from intensive care settings. Your role bridges the gap between critical care and general medical floors, supporting patients in their transition to less acute levels of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using advanced cardiac monitoring and telemetry equipment
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Document patient care comprehensively and communicate changes in patient condition to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Provide skilled nursing assessments and interventions for step-down patients

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Required certifications as mandated by the facility
• Experience in progressive care or telemetry preferred

Shift and Compensation

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) with weekly pay of $2,102.40. This 91-day assignment provides predictable scheduling and the flexibility of travel healthcare.
