PCU RN Job in Akron, OH

You'll work as an RN on a 36-bed progressive care unit at Akron Campus, serving patients from adolescents (17 years and older) through geriatric populations. This role requires you to deliver 24/7 nursing care in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment.

Your responsibilities include:

• Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 across a dynamic unit
• Care for patients with general and surgical needs: general surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal surgeries, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, urology, women's health, gynecology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and spinal/neuro overflow
• Provide care for women with obstetrical issues including intra-uterine fetal demise, preeclampsia, hyperemesis, substance abuse withdrawal, and diabetic pregnancies
• Handle different patient assignments throughout your shift
• Float as required and work flexible schedules

What we need from you:

• Current RN degree accredited through ACEN or CCNE
• BLS certification
• Epic experience within the last year
• 2+ years of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
• Solid black scrubs

Assignment details:

• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Duration: 90 days
• Start date: July 19, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,264.40
• RTO maximum 7 days (not permitted during first two weeks)
• Block schedules not accommodated
• Travel pairs accepted
