Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit in Wilmington, NC. This is a 13–26 week travel contract with night shifts.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed)
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• 5–6 weekend shifts required (every other weekend)
• Floating required as needed, potentially every shift
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Must work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events

Role Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Patient ratios: 1:6–7
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Clinical Skills & Experience

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and remote monitoring
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Pre/post cardiac surgery care
• Sheath removal experience
• Port access and blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• PICC line management
• Cardiac drip titration: Diltiazem and Amiodarone
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization
• Special procedures: cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine), sheath pulls, TR bands, Femstop

Certifications & Systems

• Required: ACLS, BLS
• Preferred: NIH
• EHR systems: EPIC, SBAR
• Medication management: Pyxis
