ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Full-time position
• Floating requirement to other locations as needed
• Required certifications: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license, BLS Certification from AHA, ACLS Certification from AHA, TNCC Certification
• Must be a graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of patient population served
• Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established timeframes
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions and modify care plans based on patient evaluations
• Participate in patient/family health education and discharge planning
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team assignments
• Function as a resource to visitors, physicians and staff
• Maintain current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population served
• Demonstrate effective communication skills appropriate to patient developmental age
• Exhibit flexibility and adapt to changes in work environment or schedule
