OR RN Job in Farmington, CT

UConn John Dempsey Hospital is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 112-week travel assignment in Farmington, CT. This position offers a 4x10 day shift schedule with weekly pay of $3,371.

Role Overview

You will work as a circulating nurse in the operating room, supporting a variety of surgical cases. Scrubs are provided, and you will be expected to manage variable shift start times at 7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, or 1:00 PM based on facility needs. Rotating weekends and holidays are required, with a minimum of one weekend per month on-call. A 30-minute report time is standard.

Experience Requirements

You must have a minimum of 4–5 years of OR RN experience or combined OR experience. Circulating experience is required, and you must be able to perform independently in ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries as verified by your skills checklist. Scrub experience is highly preferred but not required. Preference will be given to candidates who can manage neuro, spine, vascular, and orthopedic cases, as well as those comfortable with Da Vinci robotic procedures.

Scheduling & Expectations

No block scheduling is offered. On-call requirements apply with mandatory overtime possible on an as-needed basis to ensure unit coverage. Float responsibilities are not required for this role.
